Ski season is here and there’s no better way to celebrate than by enjoying the best conditions of the season at Utah’s ski resorts. Utah is home to big mountains, thousands of acres of skiable terrain, and high-end resorts. Utah snow is known as “The Greatest Snow on Earth” by skiers and snowboarders and never disappoints. Below are all the resorts in Utah. 

Deer Valley

Deer Valley is known as a luxury ski resort located in Park City. With amazing views, a fine dining restaurant, and multiple places to stay. Deer Valley is a ski only resort but, if you don’t own ski’s don’t worry, they have made it easy for you to rent ski’s at the resort! Snowbird is located in Little Cottonwood Canyon, and it has so much to offer for everyone! The Cliff Lodge has the most amazing spa with a pool on the rooftop that is open all year round, with the most amazing views! Also, enjoy fine dining with the most beautiful view of the mountain. Snowbird also offers skis or board rentals and lessons!


Brighton is at the very top of Big Cottonwood canyon. Brighton is one of the only resorts in the state that offers night riding. They also have an exceptional snowboard & ski school, and season rentals. Brighton also has amazing Terrain Parks, come and see why your favorite pro’s call the Brighton Terrain park their home.


Alta is one of the oldest ski resorts in Utah. Alta is a ski resort only located in Little Cottonwood Canyon. Alta has three amazing restaurants to eat at,  Alf’s restaurant, Watson Cafe, Collins Grills. Along with two great coffee shops, Cecert Coffee, Baldy Brews. Alta is a great family resort and the  best place for ski beginners


Located in Big Cottonwood Canyon, you can find Solitude. Solitude is a family fun resort. They have rentals, a repair shop, and lodging packages. Their lodging packages are a ski-in & ski-out style. Solitude also offers snowshoeing! They have trails, guides, and rentals for snowshoeing. Solitude is a winter wonderland.


Snowbasin is located in Huntsville, UT. Snowbasin was an award-winning Ski Magazine winner and is composed of three unique areas that offer bucket-list terrain for every skier. Backed by the most advanced to-top access from three lifts. On top of that enjoy any of their six amazing restaurants to choose from! It is a great get away place!

Park City

Park City is the biggest ski resort in the United States. Want to Ski or Snowboard on an Olympic mountain? Here is your chance! Park City mountain has the most ski lifts and skiable acreage in the country. Park City Mountain Resort is a family friendly resort where you can not only ski and board, but also shop, eat, visit historical places, and do so much more! They have many places to stay and of course great nightlife with lights, bars, and a good time! Park City is a must see when visiting Utah. 

Powder Mountain

Powder Mountain is one of the only resorts to not create artificial snow, making it a unique and fun place to ski and ride! Their goal is for you, your family, and your friends to enjoy your time at their resort. Powder mountain is also known for their amazing views, like the Horizon Cabins, and the many restaurants you can eat at! With a limit on how many passes they sell, this is the place for you if you are not a fan of crowded resorts. Even on the days with the heaviest powder, you will only find one skier per two acres of terrain. Now is your time to get on the waitlist for the pass!


Utah resorts offer a variety of season pass options, from family & student options through to weekday and nights. Utah ski passes allow access to local ski resorts but also can take you to resorts across the country and around the world. Passes such as the Ikon, Epic and others offer a variety of skiing and snowboarding options. Each one allows the passholder to ski or snowboard a fixed or, in some cases, an unlimited number of times at a group in participating resorts.
